S54 injectors NLA: clean and flow-test your originals; be wary of cheap eBay sets

Members say there is no plug-and-play replacement injector for the S54. The common route is to have the existing injectors cleaned, leak-down and flow tested, and refreshed with new O-rings, filter baskets and pintle caps. A forum member in North Carolina offered this in 2024 for about $10 per injector plus $10 for rebuild parts. Another owner found his used eBay set was counterfeit, which the cleaning service (injectorpulse) spotted; his originals cleaned up fine. Some are testing close-match Bosch injectors, but these need tuning and are not confirmed.
