Installing the new suspension ↗
Track-car project on a 1981 323i, swapping in complete Bilstein front strut and rear shock assemblies. The rears come out easily (three nuts on the tower plus one trailing-arm bolt). The fronts are more work: the two tapered pins have to be knocked loose and the sway bar and brakes removed.
Tools mentioned: Sockets, ball-joint/taper separator, jack stands
Swapping complete assemblies, not rebuilding struts.
