Build a 3.15 E30 M3-style diff: fit a 3.15 ring and pinion into a 188 mm medium-case LSD

Instead of the NLA M3 final drive, owners swap the ring and pinion inside an existing 188 mm medium-case LSD (for example 3.73 to 3.15, which share carrier geometry). Ring and pinion must be replaced as a set, with pinion depth and backlash set correctly. Several replies call it a manageable job for someone with diff experience.
