E46 M3 ABS/DSC module faults: reflow the cracked solder joints or send it to a module repairer
Module "rebuilds" are usually just reopening the control unit and reflowing cracked solder joints, typically at the pump power connector. One member did this himself on a Z3 and an E46 M3 MK20 unit. The case is glued, so it is easiest to cut it open with a Dremel and reseal with good two-part epoxy; any electronics repair shop can do the soldering. Repairers named: Module Master (Idaho) and ACtronics (UK). Module Repair Pro said it does not do E46 M3 units. Check the cheap things first: the original poster's fault turned out to be the two pressure sensors under the brake fluid reservoir.
Parts / numbers mentioned: Module Master, ACtronics, two-part epoxy; brake pressure sensors
