BMW Z4 e85 e86 Window Regulator Repair Kit ↗

Owners on the classic E85/E86 failure (a bang in the door, then a slow or dropping window from a snapped cable) and on cheap cable repair kits versus a complete regulator. Kits take about 90 minutes to 2 hours. Disconnect the battery before touching the airbag, peel the door membrane slowly so it can be reused, and adjust the glass afterwards through the two access holes at the bottom of the door.

Tools mentioned: Trim tools, Torx and sockets, membrane sealant
